Title: Shirley Created Art -- Gouache --0125: The Harmonious
Artist: Shirley Zhang
Size: 35.5cm x 25.5cm
Completed Time: Thursday, April 10, 2008
Remarks:
This is my 125th Gouache Painting. It is also my 326th painting since 2003 and the 20th painting in 2008.

Mountains, water, sky, clouds, plants, birds, insects and everything that has touched my heart in the great nature are something I favorite to see, to feel and to paint.

Every morning, when I open my eyes in the singing of my birds in the veranda and the other birds or insects in garden, when I was walking or running in the avenues, when I see the mountains far away and the white clouds in the sky, I do feel that my heart is so peaceful with much appreciation with the great nature. Yes, just the strong power of the great nature has created the beauty and harmonious earth.

According to one of the Chinese ancient philosophy theories, harmony is just beauty, balance is just beauty. That is why, mountains should not leave away from water, the moon should not leave from sun, the birds should not leave from trees and the man should leave from women... Just this kind of relying on each other, just this kind of interact each other, make everything on the earth to live together with a harmony style...

Maybe being affected by this theory, when I paint, I always want to paint the mountains and water together, to paint the flowers and birds together, even, I want to paint the moon and sun together. :-) With a appreciated heart, I have completed this painting.

How do you think of it? Do you enjoy the new painting?
