Hi,Dear Friends
 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
It is so nice to have you there as a good friend and I really thank you for being with me and Shirley's World together in the past time and now.
At the special time, I do wish you, your family and friends to be happy, healthy and lucky. I do wish our world is full of the friendship and love, to get beautiful and peaceful more and more with our effort together in the coming year.
Along with the opening of China, Chinese are also celebrating Christmas. Santa Claus and Christmas trees can be seen everywhere! Within radius of 300 meters from my home, there are Wal-Mart, Mcdonald's, Seven-Eleven, within radius of 500 or 800 meters, there are the Shenzhen Art School, the Foreign Language School and one of the best elementary and middle school... So, you can imagine, the Christmas atmosphere has come here as same as you have felt on your side.
Anyway, instead of having a holiday for Christmas, the country offers all of Chinese a 3 day's holiday, some of units will have a holiday for 5 days, relying on the different financial ability.
This week, except working on the daily work, hold meetings or harmonize different parts, I am making some investigation for my second researching report. Also, I asked some departments to make the first group of our company's electric greeting cards as our gifts to our business partners and customers, to reduce the traditional paper cards and to improve our efficiency.
Some good news are: One of financial information innovation projects in our company has got the first class award by the Shenzhen Government and this is the second time that we got a reward by the city since 2005. We have also got a scientific and technology research found from the City Government. Our biggest shareholder has decided to give our company a special subsidy to admire and support us to work on publishing some of the most important information for the Chinese Securities Market, freely for many years.
Ha! What a lucky company it is and I am lucky and happy to work for it. Even though we are working very hard -- many of us have lost or have given up many personal things for our career -- a vice general manager, who is only 43 years old was rescued in the hospital on Monday and most of managers have given up our yearly holiday for one or two weeks (according to different qualifications) with salary. I am one of them. No one forces us and not any redeeming. We chose it willingly. I could not really open my mouth to ask a holiday to see my son abroad after I knew the vice general manger has been in the hospital and the company is so busy at the end of the year.

Chinese Custom--007: Shirley's Christams & New Year's Card For You
Before Christmas this year, an idea to make some E-cards of the company jumped in to my mind. I thought that could reduce much costs instead of printing paper cards yearly and offering the E-cards to all departments and colleagues via our inner information system to deal with our public relation and to offer some convenience to every one's personal needing. Friday afternoon, the first group of our E-cards has been online and it has been used 75 times within the first hour. With the same idea, I made my own E-card on my own web site on Saturday and hoped to bring you a big smile. Have you got it and played the music? Did you smile when you hear it?

Shirley Created Art --Chinese Xieyi -- 0110: Later Spring
Instead of following my teacher's request to paint 3 birds, I painted 4 birds on the electrical wire, I did not want any bird alone in the festival. My teacher was smiling and thought the two couple of birds were too similar and lacked the changing. I agreed with it on theory, I still wanted every bird is happy and has a partner in the special times. After I put the picture on the web site, I found that I had forgotten a job to make some blue or green colors to connect the trees and houses. So it seems like too much cleaning. Anyway, my teacher gave me 90 marks. Do you enjoy it? How many birds are better in your opinion?

Chinese Classical Poem 0071 & Shirley Created Music-0061: You Zi Yin-- A Song By A Son Who Is Far Away
It is the time for most of the friends to have a reunite with family at Christmas Eve in many countries. In China, we have the similar time at the Chinese New Year's Eve. No matter when we have a reunite or a dinner with our family, the love between a mother and a son is same. So, I created a piece of music to match a Chinese classical poem and to give it to all of the friends, your mothers, my son and my mother. I do appreciate all of the mothers for their great love as the sunshine to warm their children and to make the world beautiful. I do hope that my singing, playing and the effort here will be a little bit help to you to know something more about Chinese language and culture.

Shirly Sung China (North) Folk Song--043: Shirley's "Chinese Christmas Song For You" :-)
Many Chinese are celebrating Christmas Eve as you now. On the windows and on the gates of public occasions, there are the pictures of Santa Claus and Christmas trees. Also on the first floor of our company is a big and beautiful Christmas tree! Instead of a Christmas holiday, we have a holiday for New Year's Day. So, we usually write something like "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!" As far as the Christmas Songs, I Sang One Last Year For You and Saturday night, in my vocal music lesson, I learned to sing a Chinese folk, but, I changed its lyrics as a Chinese "Christmas Song" for fun and to wish our globe and our motherland more beautiful and every friend and family happy and lucky in the new year.

I am just a learner on art, music, English and the work on the web site in my free time. Anyway, I would really like to do a little bit things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be An Electronic Bridge Of Culture Exchange, Friendship and Language Learning. During the process to help the others and to improve myself.
