Happiness & Relaxation After a Hardworking Time -- Shirley's 89th Friendly Greeting --Sun, May 27, 2007

Hi,Dear Friends
 How are you? Have you had a good week? I do hope that you are well and have a relaxed Weekend.
It is the 6th time that I started to write this letter since May 8. I mean that I had started it many times, but, for I h really had no time to complete all of the work on the web site as usual, I could not really complete my letter to you until now.
Since April 24, I was suddenly appointed to be the chief liaison officer and the executive leader of this project of our company to work with a foreign company together. I have been under a huge work pressure and most of the time I worked for over 15 hours every day. Sometimes, I had to work for 18 hours and I gave up my May Day holiday and weekends. That is why I could not work on my own web site for a while. Meanwhile, I could not write back any letter via my inbox shirleyz004@yahoo.com or shirley@ebridge.cn as well, even though I do know there are near 300 letters waiting for me. So, now, I would really like to say sorry to you and all of the friends who have written to me during this time.
I do cherish you and all of the friends. I do cherish whole of the friendship, care for and love from all of the friends. I would really like to answer all of the letters as long as I can. However, I would like to write this letter to you and all of the friends and hope to get your understanding at this time.
Today, I do feel happy and easy because the cooperated project has completed its first test in Shenzhen and we have signed the first formal contract between our company and the foreign company as well. We will show the work in the first phase to our company next Monday. Then we will show it to our mother company next Thursday. I am sure, if the first step is successful, then, it would bring our company a revolutionary innovation in the near future.
So today, I could come back home in the afternoon and the first time I had a long nap for about 10 hours. Can you imagine? I could fell sleepy at any time as soon as there was no work in my hands in the past one month. Right now, I do feel that I am in a good emotion and clear mind to work on my own web site while I write this letter to you.
I do hope from this weekend, I can recover, at least partly recover my work on the web site on my weekend and recover to write to you regularly.

Shirley Created Art -- Chinese Xieyi 0137：Spring in the Air
My art teacher wanted me to continue my long scroll in my art lesson. However, I did feel a little bit pressure to paint it because I had to work until about 11:00pm with an empty stomach in the past time. I did want to eat a dinner earlier because I was too tired to keep. So, I asked my teacher allow me to paint a simple picture this week. My teacher was very satisfied with my work and thought that I have made a big progress after working on a long scroll for a while. First time I got 95 marks. Do you enjoy this picture? Are you happy for me and my progress?

Shirley Created Art -- Chinese Xieyi 0136：Water is Warm in the Spring River
Since I was appointed to be the executive leader of a new cooperated project by the company, I have been in a very busy situation. However, no matter how busy I was, I have not missed any art and music lesson. I completed the 7th part of my long scroll in my art lesson last Thursday and my teacher gave me 90 marks. Can you imagine? My art teacher has been given the qualification as a professor by the China Art College and now I am the only adult student who has been offered a lesson at home by my teacher for over 4 years. So, I do cherish the opportunity and I can not miss any lesson.

Shirley Sings a Chinese Folk Song--056: A Song of Peonies -- Mudan Zhi Ge
Peony is one of my favorite flowers. I love it for its flower is big, its color is rich and its life-force is strong. I love it also for it has brought me a lot of thoughts. I often wonder why it is so beautiful and what it has experienced before opening its lovely petals. I often feel that a woman should also like a peony, after going on a long and hard road, after experiencing a cold season, then becoming the most beautiful one in the flower world. I also think that as long as a person who has experienced the most difficult time, he/she can really understand and cherish a happiness and a beauty in the human world. My teacher was so happy for she did feel that my singing level has been improved a lot and I do hope you agree with her.

Shirley Sings a Chinese Folk Song--055: That Is Just Me -- A Song For Mothers
I learned this song on Mother's Day for all of the mothers, also for my son and myself. This is a song in a high difficult degree. So my vocal music teacher had not been allowed me to sing it in the past time, but on Monday’s Day, she asked me to sing it. Also, I sang it for her mother and my mother via two long distance telephones. I did know that I have not mastered it yet, but, I do hope that my singing will bring you a big smile and also be a little help to you to know Chinese culture and to improve your Chinese aural comprehension.

Chinese Classical Poem --0083 (By Lang Shiyuan) & Shirley Created Music-0073: Bailing Si Nan Wang --Looking South by Bailin Temple
Have you heard any peaceful bell coming from a temple or a church when you traveled somewhere? Would you want to moor your boat and to take a walk along a quiet path in the forest if you were on a boat? I do hope that, what has written in the little poem, will bring you a feeling to do that and to get a beautiful and relaxed enjoyment. As usual, I have written a piece of music and a Chinese Calligraphy to match this poem. I do hope what I have done will be a little bit help to you to know more about Chinese culture and language.

I am just a learner on art, music, English, French and the work on the web site in my free time. Anyway, I would really like to do a little bit things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be An Electronic Bridge Of Culture Exchange, Friendship and Language Learning. During the process to help the others and to improve myself.
I do appreciate your understanding, directions and supports. I do hope to get your great help continuously now and in the coming time...
