Hi,Dear Friends
How are you? Is everything well with you? Are you enjoying your new week?
I am sorry for I have not worked on the web site for over 2 weeks because my holiday. At the first, it was the May Day Holiday as a China¨s national holiday, then my own holiday. I am still in my holiday now, but, I would like to re-start to work here. Maybe I can not work regularly as usual in the coming 2 or 3 weeks yet. Anyway, I will try to do my best to keep the working on the web site. After all, art, music, and language learning will be my main work after I retire some day and in whole of my left life...
During the holiday, a good service by the telephone company in my city really made me to be touched. I found one of my home telephones did not work in May Day Holiday, so I called the telephone company on Saturday morning and in the afternoon, when I was shopping, I got a telephone from an engineer and he had checked the line outside and wanted to check it in my home... But I could not come back soon, so, I wished him to come on Sunday morning... Anyway, in Saturday night, a telephone from the company asked me how my telephone working going, and why the line had not been recovered. Then, in Sunday morning, the engineer came to check and re-fixed the lines for me... later, after he went out of my home, an automatism voice telephone called me to ask whether my telephone was ok and whether I satisfied with their service...
Can you imagine? When I applied the first telephone in 1994, the price was 4600 RMB ? about 574 USD and I had to show a document by the company to prove that I needed to work at home. In 1997, I applied the second telephone, the price was 1500 RMB -- about 187 USD. But now, you can get a telephone with only 100 RMB -- about 12 USD. Even though there is no a line by your home, and to offer a line from the telephone company, the totally fee is only 300RMB -- about 37.5 USD. What a big change in the city and in my country!
Today, 16th, May, 2006 is my 3 anniversary to learn to paint with Chinese style . During the time, I painted 73 kinds of Chinese Xieyi ? freehand brushworks paintings ? I means I made more practices on same pictures, if plus them the number will be near 500 pieces and I have learned to paint flowers and birds, now I just started to paint landscape. 18 Chinese Gongbi -- traditional Chinese realistic paintings; Meanwhile, I painted 99 Gouache Paintings, and also over 500 pen sketches... I am really proud of myself that I have kept for 3 years already and I will try to do my best to keep another one or two 3 years, even 30 years to work on it for whole of my a half life´
How about your city? Is the service industry in a very good service way? Is it convenient and fast for you to apply a telephone?
Do you enjoy music and art?

Chinese Xieyi -- 075(Flower & Bird): A Harvest Season
After learning to paint flowers and birds for 3 years, first time, I started to learn to paint a landscape with Chinese Xieyi style with a brush directly. Now, I just know why my teacher taught me to paint stone times and times :-) It is just the foundation to paint a landscape. :-) I had forgot to paint the red leaves on the mountains in my art lesson, so I had to add it after the colors were dry later so that I had to add something on the trees by the houses for making the colors looked harmonious... but, it does not seem like very natural...:-) How do you think of my first landscape picture with Chinese style? Do you enjoy it?

Chinese Xieyi--074(Flower & Bird): Happy Birthday!
First time, I learned to paint peaches and Soudai birds for they are something often painted to celebrate old people's birthdays and to wish them to be healthy and long lived. I was very interested in learning them. So, instead of painting 4 peaches according to my teacher¨s requirement, I painted 6 ones. :-) Today is the 3 anniversary that I learned Chinese painting. I have kept for 3 years already. I am thinking how to keep another 3 years and even 30 years in whole of my left life´ :-) What is your dream about your left life?

Chinese (North) Folk Song: 020 -- Fifteen's Moon
As every family, a husband and a wife support it together, here it is just a song to admire both of a wife and a husband to share the hard and happy time in their common life, to express their missing feelings in a moonlight night. I learned it in my music lesson on the Saturday and I have not given up any lesson even though I am in my holiday. I do hope my song will bring you a happy smile.

Chinese Classical Poem--0042: Thinking of My Brother on the Double Ninth Festival -- Jiuyue Ju Ri Yi Shangdong Xiongdi --By Wang Wei[Tang]
As an alone guest in a strange land, I get double homesick on the festival day ? just the feelings of this poem. When the poet was in a new place lonely when he was 17 years old on a traditional festival -- the Double Ninth Festival (Now it has become to be the Chinese Old People¨s Day) and imagine how people stepped on high places and to collect the dogwood as some apotropaion to ward off evil. As usual, I wrote a piece of music to match this poem and hope you enjoy it. :-)
