Knowledge Is Just Strength -- Shirley's 523rd Friendly Greeting -- May 11, 2016

Hi,Dear Friends

How are you?

Is everything good on your side? I do hope it is. :-)

In the past 1 week, besides going to a local notary public office and related organizations 9 times, I have taken part in 3 Mock English Examinations and got 69.5, 71 and 80.5 pointes respectively.

When I was too tired to read in English, I painted as a relaxation. Now I have attached the new but still wet painting with this letter together and hope to bring you a big smile.

Although I have passed the 3 mock examinations and one of my English teachers told me that I should be able to pass the formal examination according to their experience, I do not satisfy myself yet, because my purpose is not only for passing the National English Examination and getting the opportunity to write paper for my degree of MFA , but also I want to become a good college instructor who can speak American English very well. So, my goal was 85. :-)

So, I did work very hard. For examply, on vocabulary, our examination requires us having 6,000 English words, I have recited 12,349 words and answered about 34,100 questions. On reading, I have completed all of the assignments of us and I have been keeping studying VOA English and China Daily. On grammar, I have started to attend the lessons second time, some parts 3 to 6 times...

The more I study, the bigger distance I have seen between my dream and my actual English level. Therefore, I am going to make English study as my lifetime program and I will take part in an International English Examination someday for improving my actual English level according to a higher requirement.

Here are some good news for you:

-- I have re-connected with 8 of my former classmates of elementary school, middle schools and universities, have made a phone call to one of my best teachers and his wife. We had lost the connection for about 30 years; when we talked, my feeling was that the parted just happened yesterday.

-- My niece has gotten 4 offers of American universities, and she will become the 3rd master student of my father’s 4 grandchildren. She will be major in arts in the USA.

-- My son took part in a new examination on Monday and he has been keeping studying in his free time for becoming an Australian Certificate Public Accountant.

We believe that Knowledge Is Strength. We are working hard on the dreams respectively.

I am just a student on Arts of Painting, Music, English and Management, to work on the web site in my free time. I would really like to do somethings with what I have learned to make this little web site to be an Electronic Bridge of Cross - Culture and Comprehensive Arts, Language & Friendship. To help the others and this world while improving myself and realizing my own value of life.
