Title: Chinese Xieyi--070(Flower & Bird): Meditating |
Artist: Shirley Zhang |
Size: 35cm x 120cm |
Completed Time: Wed, April 5, 2006 |
Remarks: This is my 70th Chinese Xieyi(Freehand Brushworks) that I created in my art lesson on Wed night. Since my dream to be a full time student in an art college was broken last week, I have adjusted my time on art learning. Every noon, I painted a small Chinese Xieyi picture within 20 to 30 minutes and I worked on my Chinese Gobi painting and music work in the night time. :-) So, this week, I in fact painted 4 Chinese Xieyi pictures with maybe 14 or 15 peonies and 6 or 7 birds. My teacher did not think that my birds were alive enough, so he asked me to do more practice. Also, I wanted to paint peonies as more as possible to feel how to use color and water in a more suitable way.
I am really happy that tonight, when my vocal music teacher asked me whether the flowers on my easels and on table were painted by my art teacher... :-)
Ha, I am now living in a garden with so many flowers with a delight smile. :-)
Frustration sometime is not a bad thing, it often can bring people a new power and motivity to make some new progress, do you think so?
