Title: Shirley Created Art -- Chinese Xieyi 0128: Summer
Artist: Shirley Zhang
Size: 67cm x 67cm
Completed Time: Wednsday, March 14, 2007
Remarks:
This is my 128th Chinese Xieyi -- Freehand Brushworks Painting that I created in my art lesson Wednesday evening. Also, it is the first time that I learned to paint trumpet creepers.

My teacher thought that I had done a good job£¬no matter the composition of the picture, or the leaves, especially the layers, colors of the leaves, have made a bigger progress than the picture that I had painted last week. But, a brush of a branch of the tree on the right and down part had been dealt with too straight so that it has destroyed the structure of this part, also, the flowers were too big and their structure seemed like a little bit loose.

Even though I myself did not very satisfy with my birds and I did not know how to pain the claw of the big bird yet, my teacher thought this is a successful picture and gave me 90 marks. :-)

How do you think of this picture? Do you enjoy it?
