Title: Shirley Created Art 501 - Chinese Xieyi -278: The Pure - April 2, 2010
Artist: Shirley Zhang
Size: 40.00cm x 70.00cm (15.79inches x 27.56inches)
Completed Time: April 2, 2010
Remarks:
This is my 278thChinese Xieyi Painting and my 501st painting since 2003. Also, it is the 27nd (46th) painting (practice) that I have created in 2010.

I was a littel bit tired Thursday night because I worked on the company jobs until 1:30am Wednsday night, I still started this painting Thursday night and I completed it Friday morning before I went to my office.

I had a strong creative motivation to create a painting for my late mother and elder brother, to remember them before the special time of Chinese Tomb Sweeping Day -- April 5.

It is one of the seldom paintings that I am satisfied.

Because I do feel it has expressed my love and missing to my mother and my elder brother with the white flowers and the sweet smell in the flowers. Even though they have gone, they are still alive in my heart and they are looking at me in the sky with many smiles.

Their souls have become the beautiful butterflies and they are flying over the flowers... Maybe I am just one of the flowers? Maybe my soul is just in the flowers? To look for and to feel the kind look at from my mother and my elder brother?

Can you feel your family members with you together even though their have gone already?

How do you think of this painting? Do you like it?
