This is my 58th Combined Paintingthat I have created / painted for Chinese Classical Poetry, and my 661st painting since 2003 ; also, it is my 34th assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts.

I started this painting at home in Shenzhen City and I completed this it in Wuxi City on Chinese New Year's Day.

After I completed it picture Jan 21, 2012, I discussed the translation with my English tutor from Britain, America and China for several days via email and cell phones. Until yesterday afternoon -- the Eve of Chinese new year, I reached Wuxi from Shenzhen, after sang it for my father while I recorded it.

Then, I got up at 5:00am this morning -- on Chinese New Year's Day. I completed it.

The pity is that I forgot to take my stamps, so that there are no any seals on it yet. :-)

I painted this painting to match the poem Xiao Chi -- A Littl Pond for a poem by Yang Wanli and hope you enjoy it and I hope it will be some help with you to understand the meaning of the painting.

Main Meaning of the Poem

A Little Pond

By Yang Wangli (Song Dynasty)

A silent mouth of the spring "cherishes" the streamlet,
The shadow of the trees is reflected in the water; it "loves" the scene in the sunshine.
A little lotus leaf just appears her pointed tip,
Quickly, a dragonfly stands on it.
