This is my 77thCombined Paintingthat I have created / painted for Chinese Classical Poetry, my 729 painting since 2003;also, it is my 120th assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts since Oct, 2011.

It is the 3rd time that I created/painted a painting to match the Chinese classical poem Chun Xiao - A Spring Morning.

It is the 3rd time that I created/painted a painting to match the same Chinese classical poem Chun Xiao - A Spring Morning and the music that I created for the poem as well.

I painted after I came back Beijing from Shenzhen. I would like to pursue the artistic conception in the spring morning with the pure Chinese painting style.

But I felt that the belly of the bird in the middle should not use so many brushes, and one of my tutors Mr. Sun Qi said, that was not a big problem, but, if I painted the branch with much more try brush on the wet brush, it would add the strength of the painting. Now the branch looks like a little bit soft.

Main Meaning of the Poem :

A Spring Morning

By Meng Haoran (Tang Dynasty)

Sleeping on a spring night, I've missed the dawn.
Eveywhere I heard the songs of birds.
In the night's wind and rain,
How many flowers have fallen?
