Title: Shirley's Daily Chinese Painting Practices-21 Art Works 1012-Xieyi-542-A322- Shirley's 382nd Assignment at Chinese National Academy of Arts-June 17-20, 2015
Artist: Shirley Yiping Zhang
Size: 70cm x 45cm (27.55inches x 17.71inches)
Completed Time: June 20, 2015
Remarks:
This is my 544thChinese Xieyi Painting and my 1012th painting since 2003, the 382nd assignment of Chinese National Academy of Arts.

As one of my daily practice, every morning, the first thing I do in the classroom is to paint orchids and bamboos.

Compare with bamboo, I do feel to paint orchid is difficult more than to paint bamboo and to paint a simple orchid is difficult more than to paint a group of luxuriant orchids. Then I understand why it is said, a Chinese artist must practice to bamboo for a half of his/her life and to practice orchid for whole of his /her life. So, now, it has become my daily practice. :-)

How do you think of it? Do you enjoy it?

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, welcome to write to shirley@ebridge.cn,you can also publish your opinions on Message Board . :-)
