Title: Shirley Created Art -- Chinese Xieyi 0131:Spring Water
Artist: Shirley Zhang
Size: 174cm x 67cm
Completed Time: Thursday, April 5, 2007
Remarks:
This is my 131st Chinese Xieyi painting that I created in my art lesson Thursday night.

As soon as you see it, you will find that I was continuing my long picture. This is the second time that I worked on it. :-)

My teacher taught me attaching two pieces of paper together with a special rubberized fabric, then, I continued to complete the second part and I prepared the third part... later, this picture will be continued longer and longer... When I was taking a photo for it, the colors were wet yet, so, I had not painted the lichens for the stone yet´

My teacher never allows me to make any pencil draft when I am panting a Chinese Xieyi picture, but asks me to paint them with colored brushes directly. So, I have been working on it very carefully, especially when I was working on the long picture, after all, in case I painted one brush bad, whole of the picture will be destroyed. :-)

I am not sure it was for having a little bit cold or for lacking sleep too much, I felt headache very much when I was working in my art lesson last night. Anyway, after eating 2 piece of medicine to stop the ache, I kept completing this picture. Tonight, when I am working here and put it on the web site. I do feel very delight. One side my headache has gone basically, the other side I do feel enjoyment as soon as I saw my own art works -- to enjoy the beautiful part, to remember the lesson part. :-)

My teacher satisfied with my work very much and gave me 90 marks. :-)

Anyway, I am a little bit worrying how I will take a picture for this picture longer and longer ? Last night, I dropped my painting board on one of my music instruments and made it to be broken a little... :-)

How do you see this picture? Do you enjoy it?
