Title: Shirley Created Art -- Chinese Xieyi 0163: Autumn
Artist: Shirley Zhang
Size: 67 x 67cm
Completed Time: Thur, Nov 22, 2007
Remarks:
This is my 163rd Chinese Xieyi Painting that I painted in My Art Lesson Thursday night and my teacher gave me 90 marks.

The number 163 means that I have had Chinese Xieyi painting lesson for 163 weeks, more than 3 years, about 500 hours.

Even though most of my painting jobs have got 90 marks since 2007 and my teacher thought that my Chinese painting level have reached a good level and I have had the ability to create independently and I can be a teacher in the Chinese Gongbi Painting field, I do not feel enough because my painting foundation is not good enough yet.

So, I have asked to learn Gouache or Pencil Sketch in my art lesson, too. My teacher thought that I have had a big progress to think so, because in 2003, when my teacher wanted to teach me to paint Pencil Sketch, I was not interested in it at all so that it has been delayed until now.

My teacher thought that to focus on the Chinese Painting is suitable for me, but, I have to learn something to have a good foundation on Pencil Sketch and Gouache. Then, my Chinese painting will be improved on a new step.

I agreed with this opinion and I asked to be taught and trained according to the requirement as an art college student. So, since next week, I will learn Gouache and pencil sketch in my art lessons, but I will still keep creating my own combined painting with both of Chinese Xieyi Painting and Chinese Gongbi Painting styles.

Do you like my idea about my art learning?
