Remarks:
This is my 795th painting since 2003and the 433rd Chinese Xieyi Painting, the 191st assignment that I have completed in Chinese National Academy of Arts .

This is the 13rd painting that I painted for the series stories and my long scroll¡¶¶þÊ®ËÄТ¡·: Er Shi Si Xiao Tu -- The Twenty-Four Dutiful Children .

This story names£ºÓÝ˴Т¸ÐÌìµÛ -- Yu Shun Xiao Gan Tian Di -- Yu Shun's filial piety moved the God.

Yu Shun was a legendary monarch in the remote antiquity. He was the son of Gu, with the nature of filial piety.

However, his father was slow-witted, his step mother was arrogance and his half brother was haughty. Many times, they wanted to murder him.

For Example:

They asked Yu Shun to repair the roof of the granary, then they set on fire under the granary, but Yu Shun took two bamboo split hats and jumped down from the granary; they asked Yu Shun to dig a well, and they put down the clods to fill the well, but Yu Shun dug a tunnel and escaped from the murder.

After experiencing these bad things, instead of hated them, he treated his parents very well and he was still kind to his a half brother still.

His filial piety moved the God, when Yu Shun cultivated on the Li Mountain, an elephant came to plough for him and birds weeded for him.

The emperor Yao heard about the filial piety of Yu Shun and his ability to deal with things. He married his two daughters E Huang and N¨· Ying to him. After Observing and testing him for many years, Yao chose Yu Shun as the heir apparent.

After Yu Shun ascended the throne, still he went to visit his father with the most respectfully, and made his half brother as a prince.

With so much moved, I painted this painting.
