Title: My Sketch from Nature-138: Shirley's 265th Assignment of Chinese National Academy of Arts -March 30, 2014
Artist: Shirley Yiping Zhang
Size: 35.00cm x 180.00cm (14.00 inches x 70.86inches) Pen on Sketchbook
Completed Time: March 30, 2014
Remarks:
This is my 4th pen sketch - painting from the nature at Chinese National Academy of Arts in Beijing, March 28, 29 and 30, 2014. It is also the biggest picture that I painted from the nature directly out of the door.

It is good to paint out of the door in Beijing right now, because it has no wind almostly, so that I could take a thin paper to paint directly 5 times out of the door.

Anyway, in the evening of March 30, when I ordered it with a pen, suddenly I found some of the structures of the flowers and the thin bunches were not very clear in my mind yet, therefore, on March 31, I went to the trees and the flowers another twice and ordered the other paintings that I had painted since March 25 out of the door.

I was lucky enough, just I wanted to finish painting the magnolia flowers after working on it 13 times and prepared to paint the other kinds of flowers, all of this kind of trees and the flowers were remove away by the gardeners.

What a lucky art student I am! Just I wanted to know the structures of the flowers and the trees by seeing them nearer, then the trees were dug out, so that I could see the flowers and the thinnest brunches on the top of the trees in the nearest places ... :-)

Is God helping me and looking after me, right?

How do you think of this sketch? Do you enjoy it?
