See Shirley Created Paintings for the Poem in Beijing July, 2014, Dec 29,2014 - Jan 3, 2015

This is my 102nd Combined Paintingthat I have created / painted for Chinese Classical Poetry, and my 954th painting since 2003 ; my 356th assignment at Chinese National Academy of Arts.

I created this painting for matching a Chinese Classical Poem by Tang Dynasty(618 -907) poet Li Bai (701-762) Jing Ye Si-Miss My Hometown in a Peaceful Night:

The Main Meaning of the Poem and the Lyrics of the Song in English :

Miss My Hometown in the Peaceful Night
Tang Dynesty (618 - 907)
By Li Bai (701-762)

Bright moonlight shines beside my bed,
Is it the frost on the ground?
Raising my head I see the silvery moon,
Lowering my head I miss my hometown.

Original Poem, Lyrics of the Song in Chinese and Pronunciations

静夜思 - Jing Ye Si
唐 - Tang
李白 - Li Bai

床前明月光- Chuang qian ming yueguan,
疑是地上霜 - Yi shi dishang shuang。
举头望明月 - Ju tou wang mingyue,
低头思故乡 - Di tou si guxiang。

I have not created music and article for this poem yet. But I will do it after I finish the study of this semester and go back home. :-)

How do you think of this painting? Do you enjoy it?
