Artist: Shirley Yiping Zhang
Size: 44.50cm x 90.00 cm ( 17.51inches x 35.43inches) Chinese Ink on the Shuxian Paper
Completed Time: Dec 12, 2015
Remarks:
This is my 68thChinese Mogu Painting and my 1070th painting since 2003.

Also, it is the 107th painting I have painted in the US since 2008 and the 31st painting in my 6th American Travel.

Originally, I would like to share something about Chinese characters with the artists of Ava Artist Guild. However, I did not think that my training and English lesson at OTC, the jobs at the Park Central Library and the St. Agnes School were /will be truly finished on Dec 10, Dec 17 and Dec 11, so that I did have no time enough to prepare a PPT or system lecture on the topic.

So, I would like to do share something relates to Chinese painting and to show the local American Artists how we painting from the nature with the lines, then to change them to be a draft of a Chinese Baimiao painting, then color it to be a Chinese Gongbi Painting or a Chinese Mogu Painting.

So, used for 2 nights, I tried to color my new mogu painting basic on a Chinese Baimiao Painting...

Mogu Painting is my favorite painting and 4 of my tutors in Chinese National Academy of Arts suggested me to go the road of Chinese Mogu. So, even though I worked unto 3:15am, Dec 12, before I left for Ava on the same day, my heart was very happy for it was really a painting I myself enjoyed.

How do you think of this painting? Do you enjoy it?
