 LISTEN TO SHIRLEY TO SING THE SONG
 Hi, friends, today, I would like to introduce a Chinese Taiwan campus ballad Waipo de Penghu Wan -- Grandma's Penghu Bay. This song was created by Ye Jiaxiu in 80's and was popular in the Mainland campuses at that time. :-) Many famous musicians have sung it. :-) In Taiwan, "the Folk Songs’ King" -- Mr. Pan Anpan started to be famous for this song and in the Mainland in 80's, Mr. Wang Jieshi and Ms. Xie Lisi were most popular musicians who have seen it. :-)
I enjoyed Taiwan compos ballads in my student times, but, I could not remember their lyrics then. Anyway, since I started to learn vocal music, I have remembered most of the lyrics of the songs that I have learned. I enjoy this song for its beautiful, kind, pure lyrics, relaxed style and its easy tone... :-)

Grandma’s Penghu Bay
Evening breeze is kissing Penghu Bay softly,
The ocean waves are chasing the sand beach.
There is no any coco forest decorating the setting sun，but only the blue sea.
I am sitting on the sunk fence of the front of the gate，
to recall once and once...
It was also on the sand beach at dusk，
there were 2 couple and a half footprint on the beach,
That was grandma leaning on a stick
and she was taking my hand...
We were stepping on the dewfall，
walking to the setting sunshine，
Warm Penhu Bay.
One footprint is a bunch of laughs，
we had spent so much happy time
until the dim light of night covered both of us
on the road that came back home.

There were so many fantasies of my childhood's，
sunshine, sand beach, ocean wave, cactus，
and an elder captain...
Note: Penhu is a county in Taiwan, it is made of 64 little inland. Also, Penhu is an archipelago with 64 inlands. :-) So, do not misunderstand that Penhu is "Pen Lake". :-)

有着脚印两对半 -- you zhe jiaoyi liandui ban。
那是外婆拄着杖 -- nashi waipo zhuzhe zhang，

踩着薄暮 -- caizhe bomu，
走向余晖 -- zouxiang yuhui，
暖暖的澎湖湾 -- nuannuan de Penghu Wan。
一个脚印是笑语一串-- yige jiaoyin shi xiaoyu yichuan，
消磨许多时光 -- xiaomo xuduo shiguang，
直到夜色吞没我俩在回家的路上 -- zhidao yese tunmo wolian zai huijia de lushang。
澎湖湾-- Penghu Wan，

有我许多的童年幻想 -- you wo xudo tongnian de huanxian，
阳光、沙滩、海浪、仙人掌 -- yangguang, shatan, hailang, xianrenzhang，
还有一位老船长-- haiyou yiwei lao chuanzhang。
